Redmoor-ELC Celebrates Its New Partnership With Contract Award: Supporting Video Group Clinics Across the NHS in Wales
The award winning group consultations practice development support specialist The Experience Led Care Programme (ELC) and digital health and technology company Redmoor Health have brought together their respective expertise and experience to launch a new partnership business, Redmoor-ELC PLC. As the driving force and pioneers behind the development of video group clinics in England, they are celebrating the Partnership’s recent formation with an important new contract win from the Welsh Government to deploy a video group clinics development support programme to primary, community, and secondary care in Wales.
The partners combined resources will deliver innovative digital practice development programmes, combined with person-centred tech solutions to meet the growing demand for digital transformation and innovative digital care pathways in the NHS.
Commenting on the Welsh NHS contract award for deploying video group clinics, Managing Partner, Marc Schmid said:
“Digital technology already plays an important role in delivering health and social care in Wales. We are delighted to be working with our Welsh healthcare colleagues and the Welsh Government to support their latest plans to introduce the video group clinics programme and patient care pathways across all three parts of the NHS. This first of its kind spread programme means that people across Wales will be able to access the benefits of video group clinic care and support, whichever clinician they need to see in whatever setting, from the safety and convenience of their own home. Over the coming months, Redmoor-ELC will deliver a comprehensive support programme at pace, with all the practice development and technical support required for clinical teams in general practice, in the community and in hospital outpatient departments to run video group clinics securely and safely.”
Commenting on the launch of the Redmoor-ELC Partnership, Managing Partner Georgina Craig said:
“COVID-19 has changed the way clinicians deliver patient care and accelerated the spread and application of digital healthcare and technology. Redmoor Health and ELC have been at the forefront of this change and partnered with NHS England and Improvement and others on a number of important enabling spread programmes. We know that our combined expertise of driving person centred change and supporting clinical teams and their patients to introduce digital healthcare solutions like video group clinics delivers game changing benefits and improves outcomes. Looking ahead, we will be extending and tailoring our digital practice development support offer to many other aspects of care. Our ambition is to work in long term partnership with health care organisations and the NHS to design and accelerate the spread of innovative person centred digital healthcare solutions that address emerging challenges and put what matters to people at the centre of the digital care experience.”
