Using the Digital Journey Planner for Quality Improvement (QI) domain in QOF.

The DJP’s self-assessments and action plans have been designed to support practices with evidence for the Quality Improvement (QI) domain in QOF.

If you are an DJP enhanced licence user, you will be able to access the following support elements:

  • New questions at the end of each module, to help practices who are planning to use the DJP as evidence for their Quality Improvement (QI) domain in QOF.
  • Question 11 is worth 27 points, for an improvement tried in practice.
  • Question 12 is worth 10 points, for taking the improvement to network level e.g., PCN.

We have also included in the action plans:

  • A breakdown of the potential gain from QOF QI section 5.
  • The QOF Framework 2022/23 guidance.
  • Shortened guidance for section 5 – Quality Improvement.
  • A reporting template which can be saved and completed to support the practice claiming QOF points at year end.

A total of 37 QOF points could be evidenced through the DJP which could equate on average to £7679 of practice revenue.

Testimonials

"I have never seen anything like the tool (DJP), its helped us focus on what we can improve. You don't have to spend hours of time on it - I'm astounded at the recent progress since its early stages, especially the implementation plan." Practice Manager, Cambridge and Peterborough.

"Once I had completed the modules, I found the Implementation plan very useful and a clear guide to the area's where we were doing well and where we could improve. I felt reassured to read about the things we were getting right, the area's we were doing well with and pleased to find help and support to hand for the area's where we needed to improve. I found it so helpful to be able to talk to someone and go through and be advised on a 1-1 basis of the area's I was unsure about. The help and support I received enabled me to gain an understanding of something I was previously unfamiliar with and once demonstrated and explained meant I could make a couple of quick changes to improve patient communications." Practice Manager.

"I have found the programme very informative so far, and the tools provided such as journey planner, GP website audit tool, etc… have been extremely useful in benchmarking current digital capabilities and creating plans for improvement. I have also gained more in depth knowledge regarding analytics and how this can be used as an important tool for managing digital services." Digital Champion - NCL.
