Artificial Intelligence (AI) Policy

At Redmoor Health, we recognise the growing role AI can play in improving productivity, supporting innovation, and enhancing services across healthcare. We also recognise the importance of using these technologies responsibly, securely and in a way that maintains the trust our clients place in us.

As a partner working across Local Government, VCFS and NHS systems on programmes including communication, engagement, transformation and digital improvement, we use AI selectively to support our teams. AI does not to replace the expertise, experience, and judgement that underpin our work.

Our approach to AI is guided by the following principles:

Human expertise remains central
AI is used to support and enhance our work, but all outputs remain subject to human oversight and professional review. We do not rely on AI to make decisions on behalf of clients, and we ensure that any AI-assisted work meets the quality, accuracy and contextual understanding expected from our clients. We are also mindful of the potential for bias within AI-generated content and remain committed to ensuring our work reflects principles of fairness, inclusion and accessibility.

Responsible and proportionate use
We carefully consider where AI adds genuine value and where it does not. The tools we use are carefully selected and assessed for suitability, security, and appropriateness, and we do not use AI in ways that compromise the integrity or credibility of our work. We are also conscious of copyright, confidentiality and environmental considerations when deciding how and when AI should be used. Recognising the environmental impact of AI, we only use it when necessary.

Transparency and accountability
Where AI has supported elements of our work, we aim to do so transparently and in line with client requirements, organisational policies and relevant information governance standards. We continue to monitor emerging guidance and best practice across the NHS and wider healthcare sector.

Ongoing learning and governance
AI technologies are evolving rapidly, and so is our approach. We provide guidance and support to our team around the responsible use of AI and regularly review our internal practices to ensure they remain aligned with legal, ethical, and operational expectations.

We believe AI should be used thoughtfully and responsibly, helping to improve efficiency and innovation while maintaining the professionalism, trust and human understanding that are essential within healthcare.
