Consultant – Clinical Systems Trainer (Contract)

Programme: Scotland GP Practice Migrations to Vision
Contract type: Independent contractor via Redmoor Health
Rate: Up to £250 per day
Location: Across Scotland and the North of England (majority in the South of Scotland). Combination of on-site and remote delivery.

About the Role

GP practices across Scotland are moving onto an updated Vision clinical system. As a Vision Trainer, you’ll work directly with practice teams, helping staff feel confident, capable, and supported throughout the migration.

You’ll deliver practical, easy-to-follow training for reception, admin, management and clinical staff, both in person and remotely. You’ll also handle light setup tasks and keep clear notes of progress using our templates.

What’s on Offer

You’ll begin with a training and sign-off period totalling around 16 days of paid work. The programme includes a mix of classroom learning, independent study, and live shadowing to build confidence and consistency before deployment. You’ll receive full induction, structured support, and friendly coaching throughout to ensure you’re fully prepared to lead sessions independently.

Once signed off, you’ll move to a flexible schedule of around three to five days per week (minimum three), planned around your availability.

Travel, accommodation and meals are reimbursed in line with policy – most work is in the South of Scotland, with occasional trips further afield. You’ll invoice monthly under our contractor terms.

What You’ll Do

  • Deliver simple, effective training sessions for GP practice teams.
  • Provide one-to-one support for staff who need extra help.
  • Complete basic system setup tasks and record activity using our templates.
  • Write short handouts and session notes for practices.
  • Share insights and feedback with our wider training, product and e-learning teams.
  • Produce training reports summarising activities and feedback for distribution to internal teams.
  • Support go-live days with a calm, professional presence.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience working in Primary Care (practice, PCN, or training role).
  • Confident using and explaining clinical systems (Vision experience ideal; EMIS/other systems welcome).
  • Strong communicator who can explain things clearly and keep people engaged.
  • Reliable, well-organised, and comfortable travelling when required.

Programme Manager – Digital & Transformation Team

Location: Hybrid (with national travel as required)
Reports to: Digital & Transformation Programme Lead
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Contract: Full-time, permanent

Role Purpose

The Programme Manager will lead the delivery of multiple digital and transformation programmes across primary care, PCNs, federations, and Integrated Care Systems (ICSs). The postholder will ensure programmes are delivered on time, within scope, and to the high standard expected by Redmoor Health and our NHS partners.

This role requires a strong understanding of general practice operations, digital systems, and the challenges faced by frontline teams. The Programme Manager will work closely with clients, subject matter experts (SMEs), and internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction, identify risks early, and drive meaningful improvement across primary care.

Key Responsibilities

Programme & Project Delivery

  • Manage multiple programmes simultaneously, each with their own stakeholders, milestones, deliverables, and risks.
  • Develop and maintain programme plans, RAID logs, progress trackers, and financial tracking tools.
  • Ensure all programmes are delivered in line with Redmoor Health’s methodologies and quality standards.
  • Lead programme meetings, workshops, discovery sessions and progress reviews with clients.
  • Monitor programme outcomes and adjust plans as required to keep delivery on track.

Stakeholder Management & Customer Engagement

  • Build strong, trusted relationships with NHS clients at all levels (practice, PCN, federation, ICB, system).
  • Confidently meet with clients in person and remotely to present updates, facilitate learning, and support decision-making.
  • Act as a key contact for allocated programmes, ensuring timely communication and clear expectations.
  • Identify risks, dependencies or issues early and work with the client and internal team to mitigate them.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and escalate concerns promptly.

Understanding of General Practice & NHS Landscape

  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of general practice workflows, challenges, and digital systems (e.g., telephony, online consultation tools, GP clinical systems, NHS App).
  • Understand primary care contracts, digital priorities, and policy requirements (e.g., PCN DES, GP contract changes, digital standards).
  • Use this knowledge to inform programme delivery and advise clients confidently.

Programme Documentation & Reporting

  • Produce clear, well-structured materials including reports, slide decks, dashboards, assessments, and programme summaries.
  • Translate complex information into accessible content for varied audiences.
  • Maintain accurate programme documentation for internal and external use.

Internal Collaboration

  • Work closely with the Digital & Transformation Programme Lead to ensure programmes align with Redmoor’s wider strategic goals.
  • Collaborate with SMEs, analysts, content teams, and the wider organisation to support consistent delivery across products and programmes.
  • Contribute to Redmoor Health’s internal development, including improving tools, refining processes, and sharing best practice.

Continuous Improvement & Professional Development

  • Keep up to date with NHS policy, digital transformation trends, and emerging technologies.
  • Suggest improvements to programme methodology and internal processes.
    Participate in team learning, knowledge sharing, and development sessions.
